Ireland in 10 Days…
Day 1
Arrive Dublin Airport and meet your driver. Transfer directly to Belfast for an afternoon city tour. You will see the Titanic Quarter, the Peace Wall, Queen’s University as well as the political murals. You will have some free time around Donegall Square and Royal Avenue before transferring to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Today, we have a full day excursion to the Causeway Coast via the tiny fishing villages along the Antrim Coast of Carnlough, Cushendall, and Ballycastle. We will visit the World Heritage Site of the Giant’s Causeway. If you dare, we can also cross the nearby Carrick-a-Rede Bridge. A rope bridge suspended high above the North Channel Sea. We return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Departing the Belfast area today, we travel through Fermanagh and Sligo to Mayo. We will stop en route at the stately home of Castle Coole, an 18th Century historic mansion. In the afternoon, we’ll stop at a local Seaweed Baths where you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon soaking in the locally picked seaweed and sea water. Then on along the Diamond Coast to County Mayo for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Our route today, takes us through the wilds of Connemara to the bustling city of Galway. En route, we’ll stop at Dan O’Hara’s Cottage for some homemade poteen cake and tea. Free for dinner. O/N Galway.
After breakfast, we’ll have a morning visit to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren area. The Cliffs of Moher are among the highest sea cliffs in Europe and they stretch for five miles around the coast. If weather permits, enjoy a cliff top walk before returning to Galway in the afternoon for some free time. Free for dinner. O/N Galway.
Day 6
Leaving Galway this morning, we travel south on the N18 route to Ennis and Limerick and on into County Kerry. We’ll make a stop at the Adare Heritage Centre where you can learn about the medieval history of this pretty little village. Then we’ll continue to Kerry for dinner and overnight.
Day 7
Today, we will take a full day excursion to the Dingle Peninsula, there will be free time in Dingle Town so you can enjoy the local pubs and/or the local ice-cream. After a walk on the pier, you will take a drive around Slea Head, the drive takes you around the windswept landscape overlooking the Blasket Islands and the Atlantic Ocean. On return to our hotel, we’ll make a stop in Annascaul to have a pint in the South Pole Inn. Return to hotel. Free for dinner.
Day 8
This morning, we’ll leave Kerry and travel back through Tipperary and Laois and Kildare to Dublin. The road takes us through lands of ancient sites including the Rock of Cashel, the seat of the High Kings of Ireland up to the 13th Century. Also, the Rock of Dunamase, a ruined castle that has been mentioned in literature as far back as the 9th Century.
Arrive in Dublin in late afternoon for overnight. Free for dinner.
Day 9
This morning, we’ll have an orientation tour after breakfast. We’ll drop you off around 12.30 and you’ll be free for the afternoon. At 18h30, meet up in the lobby of the hotel again for your farewell dinner at a Traditional Irish Pub with entertainment of Irish Music and Dancing.
Approx. 22h30, return to the hotel.
Day 10
Transfer to Airport.
